Serving Expanded Communities

As a leader in the healthcare industry, we are continually expanding to meet the healthcare needs of the communities we serve. In 2018 alone, there have been numerous new facilities and expansions of existing facilities.

Acquisition

The Danshell Group — 
United Kingdom

Through our UK subsidiary Cygnet Health Care, The Danshell Group was acquired in July. The Danshell facilities (25 facilities with 288 beds) support and care for adults living with learning disabilities.

Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital — Panama City, Florida

The new Emerald Coast Outpatient Center offers a variety of programming to meet the needs of its civilian, veteran, and active duty clients.

Emerald Coast Behavioral Health Opening

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center — Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a new 182-bed behavioral health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

Holly Hill Hospital — Raleigh, North Carolina

The new South Campus adult hospital increases the licensed bed capacity to 285 to serve more adult community members who find themselves in crisis.

Palm Point Behavioral Health — Titusville, Florida

The new 80-bed facility offers specialized treatment for individuals experiencing behavioral health issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis or substance use disorders.

Joint Ventures

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital — Lancaster, Pennsylvania

A joint venture partnership between Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health and UHS, the new 126-bed facility serves adolescent and adult patients.

Inland Northwest Behavioral Health — Spokane, Washington

The new 100-bed hospital is a joint venture between UHS and Providence Health Care. In addition to serving adults, the new facility will be opening a unit for adolescents in 2019.

Facility Expansions

Cypress Creek Hospital — Houston, Texas

The hospital renovation added 32 beds and a 7,000 square foot outpatient building.

Doctors Hospital of Laredo — Laredo, Texas

This expansion included the renovation of the emergency department, the addition of eight ICU beds and a 4,000 square foot cardiac rehabilitation unit, including a walking track and specialized equipment.



Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center — Eagle Pass, Texas

The new state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab features a digital cardiovascular and interventional X-ray imaging system for diagnostic and interventional coronary angiography and stent placement for elective, urgent and emergency-level patients.

Henderson Hospital — Las Vegas, Nevada

The new Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Therapy Center features hyperbaric chambers and treatment rooms. The hospital also added a 28-bed medical-surgical unit on the third floor and an 8-bed, Level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Poplar Springs Hospital — Petersburg, Virginia

An 11,000 square foot renovation to the 30-bed North unit was recently completed.

River Park Hospital – Huntington, West Virginia

A 4,500 square foot freestanding gymnasium was constructed to provide recreational space 
for patients.

Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center – Las Vegas, Nevada

Two medical-surgical units were added, resulting in 29 additional medical-surgical beds, 20 additional intermediate beds and 11 additional ICU beds.



Summerlin Hospital Medical Center – Las Vegas, Nevada

The 6th floor was expanded to 36 medical-surgical beds, as was the OB Unit on the 2nd floor.

Temecula Valley Hospital

Temecula Valley Hospital — Temecula, California

The new 29,000 square foot addition includes two new cardiac catheterization labs, a neuro-interventional operating room, an endovascular hybrid operating room, seven additional Post-Anesthesia Care Unit bays, seven additional Ambulatory Care Unit bays, an additional CT scanner and a large community room.

Texoma Medical Center — Denison, Texas

The new emergency department and Level III Trauma Center increased capacity from 24 beds to 48 beds and includes psychiatric treatment rooms, trauma rooms and a dedicated Fast-Track for prompt treatment of minor injuries.

Wellington Regional Medical Center — West Palm Beach, Florida

The new Weight Management Center offers customized weight-loss programs, dedicated treatment teams, health coaching, exercise physiologist/fitness instruction and nutrition management.
